Consumers have legal rights in accordance with the applicable national
legislation concerning consumer goods, and the warranty does not restrict
these rights. The new fitness equipment that you have bought carries a
manufacturer's warranty granted by Tunturi Oy Ltd. The warranty covers
manufacturing flaws caused by materials or labor that occur during the
warranty period. Tunturi Oy Ltd will, at its discretion, either repair or
replace the faulty part or equipment according to the terms presented below.
The Owner's Warranty is only valid, if the item is used in an environment
approved by Tunturi Oy Ltd for that particular equipment. The Owner's
Warranty is only valid, if the item is used in an environment approved by
Tunturi Oy Ltd for that particular equipment. The product-specific approved
environment is stated in the Tunturi marketing materials (brochures,
Internet) and in the Owner’s Manuals. Tunturi distinguishes three operating
environments:
1. Home: the product is used only by members of the family for whom the
product is purchased
2. Light Commercial: the product is used by a limited user group, the manner
and environment of usage is close to
home or controlled testing use, for
example in schools, hotels, housing organizations, companies, etc.
3. Gym: the product is accessible without limitations by exercisers in a
gym. The usage need not be controlled.
Tunturi fitness equipment for home use carries a twenty-four (24) month
manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer's warranty for the F200 is twelve
(12) months in home use.
Using the Registration Card or the registration service on the Tunturi
website to register Tunturi fitness equipment that is in home use extends
the manufacturer's warranty by twelve (12) months (extended Owner's
Warranty). The manufacturer's warranty for the F200 will not be extended by
registration.
If the product is used in a community or gym, the manufacturer's warranty is
twelve (12) months; registration will not extend the warranty period. Please
note that the terms of the Owner's Warranty may vary from one market area to
another.
The warranty period commences from the date on which the original buyer
purchases the equipment; warranty repairs will not extend the warranty
period.
Warranty restrictions
The warranty covers flaws caused by materials or labor in fitness equipment
that is as originally assembled. The warranty only covers faults that occur
in normal use as defined in the attached manual, and providing that
Tunturi's instructions on installation, maintenance and use have been
followed. Tunturi Oy Ltd and Tunturi distributors are not responsible for
faults caused by factors outside their scope of influence. The warranty is
applicable only to the original purchaser of the equipment and is only valid
in countries in which Tunturi has an authorized distributor.
The warranty does not extend to fitness equipment or components that have
been modified without the consent of Tunturi Oy Ltd. The warranty does not
cover faults resulting from: natural wear and tear, use in conditions for
which the fitness equipment is not intended, corrosion, or damage incurred
during loading or shipping. Neither does the warranty support maintenance
activities, such as cleaning, lubricating or normal checking of parts; nor
installation procedures that customers can do themselves and that do not
require dismantling/reassembling the fitness equipment e.g. replacing a user
interface, pedals or other similar, simple parts. Warranty repair performed
by other than an authorized Tunturi representative shall not be compensated
for.
Fault report
The fault report must include at least the following information: the serial
number of the faulty equipment, the date of delivery to the original buyer,
details of the place and conditions where the equipment has been used (home,
gym etc.), and an accurate description of the fault/problem. Remember to
keep the purchase receipt - it is a prerequisite for the handling of
warranty issues. You should also take particular care of the registration
receipt; it helps in dealing with warranty issues during an extended Owner's
Warranty.
Scope of warranty
Under no circumstances is Tunturi Oy Ltd or a Tunturi distributor
responsible for any indirect damage incurred by the buyer, such as loss of
income or other financial consequences.
Repairing or replacing a product
Despite continuous quality control, faults or operating errors in equipment
may result from individual components. Delivering the complete piece of
equipment for repair is often unnecessary, because the flaw can usually be
fixed by replacing just the faulty part. It is preferable that you should
make any inquiries about the warranty directly to your Tunturi retailer.
Labor
The warranty covers labor costs resulting from the repair of the equipment,
for a period of twelve (12) months from the original purchase date, provided
that the equipment is in the possession of the original buyer. Please note
that the terms of Owner's Warranty may vary from area to area.
